College of Arts Actively Participates in “Iraqi Youth Model United Nations” Conference at the University of Mosul
The University of Mosul recently launched the “Iraqi Youth Model United Nations” conference, featuring notable participation from several prestigious international universities, including Oxford University (United Kingdom), Sciences Po (France), and Aristotle University and University of Piraeus (Greece). The event was attended by the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and a number of prominent academic figures.
The College of Arts played an active role in this international event through its faculty members, Dr. Aws Adel and Dr. Luqman Saeed. They delivered two inaugural lectures, highlighting the vital role youth play in shaping the future across various fields, particularly in education, economics, and politics.
During their addresses, the lecturers emphasized the importance of empowering youth by providing a stimulating and supportive environment, encouraging them to embrace leadership and initiative. They also noted the significant role of the United Nations in nurturing these young talents, in addition to stressing the importance of academic leadership supporting youth to become active partners in building a conscious and influential generation.
