A Faculty Member Participates in an International Symposium
Professor Dr. Firas Abbas Al-Bayati, Head of the Sociology Department, participated in the international scientific symposium titled “Sustainable Development in Societal Experiences – Opportunities and Achievements.” This event was organized by the Ideas for Development Association, a global organization dedicated to sustainable development issues and community empowerment, and was conducted virtually.
Dr. Firas’s contribution was part of a scientific session that addressed the challenges and opportunities in advancing sustainable development. He presented an analytical perspective on education, environment, and economic empowerment.
Dr. Firas also tackled the critical importance of integrating institutional and community efforts to achieve sustainable development goals, citing several successful case studies in this domain.
