College Dean participates in the first meeting of the National Strategy Committee for Combating Extremism.
The Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, participated in the first meeting of the National Strategy Committee for Combating Extremism, which was held today, Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
This meeting is part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to coordinate and unify plans and programs aimed at combating extremism in all its forms. The committee discussed organizing its agenda for the upcoming period, including holding awareness seminars and workshops, and activating the role of academic institutions in spreading a culture of moderation.
During the meeting, the Dean of the College of Arts emphasized the vital role that universities, especially the University of Mosul, play in promoting community awareness and establishing sound intellectual concepts to counter violent and extremist rhetoric through curricula and scientific and cultural activities.
