Faculty Member Participates in Doctoral Dissertation Defense at University of Tikrit

Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Saeed, a faculty member in the Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, participated in the defense of a doctoral dissertation at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Tikrit. The dissertation was titled:
“The Contributions of Prominent Reciters and Memorizers of the Qur’an in Al-Andalus (92–484 AH).”
The dissertation, presented by the researcher, offered a comprehensive study of the roles of reciters and memorizers in Al-Andalus. It focused on their scientific, military, and social contributions during the specified period, highlighting their status in Andalusian society and the extent of their influence on the religious, cultural, and political life of the era.
Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Saeed’s participation in this defense underscores the College of Arts at the University of Mosul’s role in supporting academic activities, exchanging scholarly expertise among Iraqi universities, and contributing to the evaluation of historical research of a civilizational and intellectual nature.
