College of Arts

The Department of English at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, held a defense for a master’s thesis on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The thesis is titled, “Blossoming Words: The Use of the Language of Flowers in Selected Women’s Poems.” A portion of the defense was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Ta’i.

The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on the use of the language of flowers in the poems of selected female poets and to what extent this floral language contributes to revealing the embedded meanings within their works.
