Workshop on the Fundamentals of the Persian Language
The Department of History organized an educational workshop titled “Fundamentals of the Persian Language.” The three-day course took place from September 30 to October 2, 2025.
The workshop was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Hano Al-Tai, Dean of the College of Arts, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Salih, Head of the Department of History.
Delivered by Assistant Professor Tay Hatem Jasim, the course saw the participation of various personnel from the College and the Department of History. The curriculum covered several key areas, most notably the Persian alphabet and numbers, the correct pronunciation of certain Persian letters, and vocabulary related to body parts, cardinal directions, and flavors. Furthermore, participants were trained in the practical application of common Persian phrases.
