College of Arts Organizes Seminar on Promoting Student Awareness of Mental Health
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Tai, the Division of University Psychological Guidance, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, organized a seminar titled “The Culture of Student Awareness of Mental Health.”
The event was held as part of the continuous education programs and coincided with World Mental Health Day, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
The seminar featured contributions from Professor Dr. Firas Abbas Fadhil, Head of the Department of Sociology; Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmoud Humi; Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Abd Al-Wahhab Ismael; and Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Abdullah Ahmad.
The seminar was attended by a number of the College’s faculty members and staff, as well as a large gathering of students, who enriched the discussion with their input on the importance of fostering psychological awareness within the university environment and its role in achieving academic and personal balance for students.
