College of Arts

The Department of Media within the College of Arts held an academic seminar on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, titled “Propaganda and Disinformation in Zionist Media: The Gaza War as a Model (2023–2025).” The event saw the participation of several faculty members from the Department.

The seminar featured a number of scientific research papers:

• Professor Dr. Jassim Muhammad Al-Jubouri, Head of the Media Department, opened the seminar with a paper discussing the methods of Zionist propaganda utilized via social media platforms during the war on the Gaza Strip.

• Dr. Waad Shaher Mahmoud presented a scientific study focusing on the Israeli Army’s propaganda and disinformation techniques deployed through the tweets of Avichay Adraee on the X platform.

• Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Faisal presented a paper addressing the role and evolution of Zionist propaganda during the war on Gaza.
