College of Arts

The Council of the Faculty of Arts held its tenth open session from December 21 to December 28, 2025. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Tai, and attended by all council members.

The session involved extensive discussions on several agenda items, with a primary focus on the following key directives:

• Scientific Research: Emphasizing the critical importance of publishing research in reputable international databases, specifically highlighting Scopus-indexed journals.

• Examination Standards: Approving the adoption of the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format for exams, stipulating a strict requirement of four options per question.

• Professional Development: Urging faculty members to enhance their English language proficiency and stay abreast of modern technological advancements, particularly through the conscious and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and scientific research.

• Academic Protocol: The Council officially decreed that Master’s and Doctoral defense sessions shall be held in private (in camera). Attendance is strictly limited to relevant individuals to uphold the established academic framework and standards.
