The Department of Information and Library Science at the Faculty of Arts hosted a Master’s thesis defense titled “The Reality of Digital Transformation from the Perspective of Faculty Members at the University of Mosul” on Sunday, December 28, 2025. Part of the session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Head of the Department, Dr. Omar Ahmed Saeed, and several faculty members.

The study, presented by the student Iman Jamal Abdul-Jabbar Reda, explored the current state of digital transformation by analyzing the perspectives of faculty members regarding the educational process at the University of Mosul. It also sought to identify the most prominent challenges hindering this transition.

Research Objectives:

• Assessing the level of digital transformation across educational, administrative, and research domains within the university.

• Evaluating the readiness of the technological infrastructure to support digital initiatives.
