College of Dentistry Organizes an Educational and Humanitarian Visit to Children at Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital (Community Service)

In line with its societal and humanitarian role, the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Volunteer Work Unit and the Scientific Affairs Unit of the College, organized a visit to Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital for Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with the participation of a number of the College’s students and staff members.

The visit aimed to promote health awareness among hospitalized children. Participants delivered simple and engaging explanations on the fundamentals of oral and dental care, as well as methods of preventing tooth decay, using interactive approaches appropriate to their age groups. This contributed to bringing joy to the children and enhancing their health knowledge.

The visit also included the distribution of gifts to the children as a humanitarian gesture expressing solidarity and psychological support, helping to bring smiles to their faces and alleviate their suffering during the treatment period.

The College Deanship affirmed that such initiatives fall within its efforts to human values and social responsibility among students, in addition to developing their educational and communication skills, in alignment with its mission to serve the community.
