In implementation of the directives of the Presidency of the University of Mosul / Civil Defense Division, and within the framework of its periodic program to preventive measures and occupational safety, the College of Dentistry organized an awareness lecture entitled “Public Safety” on Monday, 4 May 2026.

The lecture, held in the Discussion Hall at the Deanship building of the College, featured a detailed presentation delivered by Mr. Sufyan Idrees Al-Barzanji (Head of the Civil Defense Division at the University Presidency), in the presence of a number of the College staff members.

The lecture focused on the following strategic pillars:

Preventive Measures: Review of the approved public safety protocols within educational institutions.

Crisis Management: Mechanisms for immediate response and professional handling of emergency situations.

Awareness Culture: Approaches to reducing operational risks and ensuring the safety of the work environment and laboratories.

This activity reflects the commitment of the Deanship of the College of Dentistry to adopting the highest standards of occupational safety, ensuring the protection of staff, students, and public property, and reinforcing a safe and sustainable educational environment.
