Launching a training course on methods for measuring the quality of water used in homes.‏.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, Dean of the College of Environmental Science and Technologies, the training course entitled “Methods for measuring the quality of water used in homes” began this morning, Sunday, October 22, 2023, which will last for five days during the period. From 22-26 October 2023.

On its first day, Assistant Professor Ashraf Siddiq Elias, a teaching assistant in the Department of Environmental Health at the College of Environmental Science and Technologies, gave a lecture entitled (Introduction to how to prepare potable water from the source until it reaches homes) in which he discussed how to prepare potable water from the source all the way to homes by withdrawing water. From the river, then filtering the water from impurities, going through the stages of filtration, adding chlorine, and finally the water pumping process.

Tomorrow we will have a date with the second day, which will include two lectures. The first will be delivered by assistant lecturer, Hossam El-Din Thanoun Ali, entitled “Measurement of PH and Chlorine,” and the second will be delivered by assistant lecturer, Sufyan Hisham Abdel Rahman, entitled “Measurement of TDS ES.”
