Workshop at the College of Environmental Sciences on the sound construction of the family and domestic violence..

 

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and the supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, the College of Environmental Sciences, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled: “Domestic Violence and the Sound Construction of the Family.. Types, Causes and Effects” today, Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the college discussion hall.

It was delivered by:
– Assistant Lecturer Suha Saad Ali / College of Environmental Sciences.
– Assistant Lecturer Lubna Muhammad Ahmed / College of Arts.
– Assistant Lecturer Raghad Thamer Ahmed / College of Arts.

The workshop dealt with the types of domestic violence and the reasons that contribute to its occurrence, as well as identifying the motives leading to it.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the concept of domestic violence, its various forms, and its effects on the individual and society.

The workshop recommended enhancing family communication and promoting awareness and education by organizing awareness campaigns and educational programs in institutions, in addition to establishing centers for psychological and legal support for victims and aggressors to provide them with the necessary advice and support.
