Under the patronage of Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Walid Al-Abbasi, the College of Environmental Sciences/Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the College of Law, held a workshop entitled “Domestic Violence” this morning, Monday, April 7, 2025, in the college’s discussion hall.

It was presented by:
– Lecturer Dr. Lamia Hashim Salem / College of Law.
– Dr. Zahraa Hisham Ibrahim / College of Law.
– Lecturer Ruwa Muzaffar Younis / College of Environmental Sciences.

The lecture included a definition of domestic violence, its dangers, and its effects on the individual, family, and society.

The workshop aimed to clarify the concept of domestic violence in the modern era, its causes, and to examine its physical, psychological, and social effects and harms.
