A workshop was held at the College of Environmental Sciences on safety methods in scientific laboratories.
Under the patronage of Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and as part of the College of Environmental Sciences’ efforts to enhance the scientific and technical aspects of university staff through scientific activities, the College of Environmental Sciences/Department of Environmental Technology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a workshop entitled “Occupational Safety in Scientific Laboratories” on Monday, April 14, 2025, in the college’s discussion hall.
It was delivered by:
– Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Abdul-Moneim Al-Jawady/College of Environmental Sciences/Department of Environmental Technology.
– Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Abdul-Sattar Al-Dabbagh/College of Environmental Sciences/Department of Environmental Technology.
The workshop included several topics, including awareness-raising to ensure the protection of users and the environment from potential hazards in scientific laboratories.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of safety practices and implement preventive measures to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all laboratory workers.
