Students from the Department of Environmental Health made a scientific visit to the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Under the supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Environmental Health, Assistant Professor Dr. Rehab Abdul-Jabbar Hamid, and as part of the Department of Environmental Health’s ongoing activities to support the scientific and practical aspects of students’ learning, second-year students from the Department of Environmental Health, accompanied by a select group of faculty members from the department, made a scientific visit to the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Mosul on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The visit included the large and small laboratory animal house, the PCR unit, the surgery department, the animal nutrition laboratory, the artificial insemination laboratory, the anatomy and cadaver preservation laboratory, the cattle and sheep breeding field, and the surgery department. They also visited the Microbiology Department, learning about its components and methods of preparing bacterial media, as well as methods of destroying laboratory samples, maintaining a healthy environment suitable for animal husbandry, and laboratory sterilization methods.
