The College of Environmental Sciences participated in a symposium on climate adaptation in Nineveh.

The College of Environmental Sciences at the University of Mosul participated in a scientific symposium entitled “Climate Adaptation Initiatives in Nineveh,” held in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the German Development Bank (KfW). Representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) were also in attendance, along with experts from the Iraqi Ministry of Environment and representatives from Nineveh Governorate. Dr. Rehab Hamid Al-Bakr, Head of the Environmental Health Department, and Dr. Marwan Jamil, Rapporteur of the Climate Change Department, also participated in the symposium.
This participation comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to actively engage in national and international initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development goals in Nineveh Governorate and Iraq in general.
