College of Environmental Sciences

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Muthanna Jassim Muhammad Al-Taie, and as part of the college’s community activities, a number of members of the College of Environmental Sciences participated in a field visit to the Elite Mixed Private School and the Mubdi’un Primary Private School. Awareness lectures were held entitled “Preserving Blessings… Our Path to a Sustainable Environment” and “Cleanliness and the Importance of Environmental Preservation.”
The lectures were delivered by Dr. Tahseen Ali Jalmiran, Engineer Bahnam Adeeb Bahnam, and Engineer Nada Turki Abbas. The lectures focused on the importance of spreading environmental awareness among school students and promoting the concept of sustainability and the preservation of natural resources. On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day, which falls on October 15, 2025, the lecturers addressed the importance of handwashing and maintaining public hygiene.
During the visit, awareness posters and brochures were distributed, aiming to instill a culture of cleanliness and rational consumption, and instilling positive environmental values ​​in students.
This initiative comes as part of the College of Environmental Sciences’ drive to enhance its community role and contribute effectively to spreading environmental awareness in educational institutions.
