Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Taie, and the attendance and follow-up of the Head of the Department of Environmental Health, Dr. Muhammad Yahya Alawi, a seminar was held in the Department of Environmental Health entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Not Just a Tool, but a New Partner in Academic Work.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Muthanna Waad, a lecturer in our college’s Department of Environmental Health.
The seminar included an explanation of the role of artificial intelligence as an effective partner in academic work and an explanation of how applications such as ChatPDF, ChatGPT, and Elicit can assist researchers and students in literature review, text summarization, reference management, and improving research quality. It focused on using these applications ethically and effectively to enhance scientific productivity and develop critical thinking skills.
