College of Environmental Sciences

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Mohammed Al-Tai, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Waleed Saeed Al-Abbasi, and the heads of departments, the College of Environmental Sciences/Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Northern Technical University/Technical Management Institute, held a scientific workshop entitled “The Art of Etiquette and Protocol for Receiving VIP Guests at Seminars and Conferences.” The workshop was presented by:

The workshop aimed to develop the behavioral and protocol skills of the participants, enabling them to apply the principles of courtesy and refined taste in dealing with VIPs and official guests. It also aimed to familiarize participants with the most important rules of etiquette in reception and hospitality, seating arrangements, managing official meetings, and the etiquette of verbal and non-verbal communication, thus contributing to enhancing professionalism and excellence in organizing seminars and conferences. The workshop also achieved four Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 1 Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions; Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

In conclusion, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Waleed Saeed Al-Abbasi, presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Shaker Mahmoud Awad of the Northern Technical University/Technical Management Institute for his valuable contributions to the workshop.
