A scientific workshop was held at the College of Environmental Sciences on how to monitor job performance as a means of reducing administrative corruption.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, the College of Environmental Sciences/Legal Affairs Division and Human Resources Division, in cooperation with the University of Mosul Presidency/Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development Unit, held a workshop entitled “Mechanisms for Monitoring Job Performance as a Means to Reduce Administrative and Financial Corruption.”

The workshop included an analysis of the theory linking effective performance management with the principles of corporate governance (accountability, transparency, and participation). It also addressed identifying and diagnosing the avenues through which administrative and financial corruption infiltrates functional processes and procedures, and understanding how to use performance evaluation outputs as powerful tools in internal auditing and administrative investigations. The workshop achieved three Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
