College of Environmental Sciences

For the fifth consecutive day, the College of Environmental Sciences continued its active participation in the “Bridge of Mercy” campaign, focusing its field activities this time on Batnaya Boys’ Secondary School. This initiative aims to promote environmental and health awareness within educational institutions.

The college’s participation included conducting several environmental tests and measurements under the supervision of its teaching and technical staff. These included measuring air quality inside classrooms, monitoring noise pollution levels in the school’s vicinity, and performing preliminary tests on drinking water, specifically regarding dissolved salts and other basic chemical indicators. The activities also included providing students with educational guidance on the importance of a healthy school environment and its direct impact on academic achievement and public health.

This participation reflects the College of Environmental Sciences’ commitment to its academic and community role in serving the local community and promoting the concepts of sustainability and environmental responsibility, in cooperation with relevant entities within the University of Mosul’s activities.
