College of Environmental Sciences

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, and with the attendance of the Head of the Department of Environmental Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Hazem Jumaa Mahmoud, a seminar entitled “Environmental Risk Assessment” was held in the Department of Environmental Technologies. The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Mohammed Fakhr Al-Din, a faculty member in the department.

The seminar covered methods for assessing potential carcinogenic and toxic risks resulting from exposure to various environmental pollutants, calculating contributing and relative risks through clinical data analysis, managing existing risks, and finally, providing examples of how to calculate the risk index.
