Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Environmental Sciences on the risks of nitrates and fluorides in drinking water on human health..
This morning, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, a master’s thesis was discussed for the student Qamar Muhammad Hussein Karko on her thesis entitled “Potential risks of nitrates and fluorides on human health through drinking water: A case study of water supplies to some neighborhoods in Mosul” in the discussion hall of our college.
The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi and the membership of each of Professor Dr. Youssef Jabbar Ismail and Assistant Professor Dr. Hazem Juma Mahmoud and the membership and supervision of each of Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Shihab and Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Younis Tali’.
The study included evaluating the quality of drinking water for some neighborhoods on the left side of Mosul and estimating the percentage of each of nitrate and fluoride ions affecting human health by applying weighted mathematical models.
