Launch of the training course at the College of Environmental Sciences on safety methods in science laboratories.
Under the patronage of Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, and the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Environmental Technology, Dr. Ayad Fadhil Al-Nama, and as part of the Continuing Education Unit’s activities to contribute to raising and developing the skills of government employees, the training course entitled “Health and Safety in Science Laboratories” began on Monday morning, March 17, 2025, in the college’s discussion hall. The four-day course will continue until March 20, 2025.
The course covered laboratory safety methods in chemistry, physics, and life sciences laboratories, as well as how to handle and store laboratory waste.
The course aimed to explain and clarify health and occupational safety standards for individuals working in relevant government institutions and industrial companies operating in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and food.
