About the Department of Environmental Technologies
Department’s Vision:
Developing technical education in the field of the environment in order to achieve excellence by providing high-quality educational programs that meet up to date requirements. The department provides an integrated educational program that includes a basic and technical understanding of environmental aspects and a deep exploration of the potentials of sustainable development at the theoretical, practical and field levels. In addition to that, it provides the graduate with a scientific background and a broad knowledge in relevant supporting fields, in a way that meets the requirements of the market need.

Department’s Message:
Conveying all information related to environmental sciences during the four years of preliminary studies, as follows:
First year – involves establishing a strong foundation in the natural and environmental sciences, understanding the structure and function of the environment, and applying environmental thinking to all aspects of life.
Second Year – The year will be devoted to enhancing technical skills and acquiring skills in environmental technologies and environmental management practices, and the student will have initial competence in supervision and control in the management of environmental projects.
The third year – continuing to deepen skills in how to deal with environmental problems, trying to find appropriate solutions, and focusing on building an efficient personality in managing business, projects, and environmental tasks.
The fourth year – is a collection of all the accumulated theoretical, practical and field knowledge aspects through all the academic subjects received during the years of study.
Objectives of the program:
The department aims to prepare environmental-technical cadres concerned with environmental affairs in all its components and works to graduate competent cadres specialized in the field of environmental technology capable of diagnosing environmental problems and trying to develop appropriate solutions for them by linking the theoretical, laboratory and practical aspects of knowledge that the student receives over the years and stages of study that he receives. It extends for four years. The student who graduates from the department is awarded a bachelor’s degree in the field of environmental science and technology and is qualified to work in state governmental departments and institutions and the mixed and private sectors concerned with environmental and health affairs and related departments.

The learning outcomes of the department for the primary study in the field of environmental technologies can be summarized in the following points:

- Enable students to undertake technical engineering projects in the field of specialization and in accordance with the academic program.
- Providing an educational environment that meets the academic requirements to enable graduates of the department to join scientific institutions of environmental sciences / environmental engineering technologies.
- Enable students to complete their studies within the prescribed period according to international standards, and then enroll in postgraduate studies.
