Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi,

and the supervision of the President of the University of Mosul, and in the presence of Dr. Nazir Al-Ansari, a professor at Lulea University in Sweden, and researchers from various Iraqi governorates, with the participation of researchers from Spain, Malaysia, Cyprus, the UAE, Algeria, Morocco, and Chad, in addition to broad participation from various Iraqi governorates, the College of Environmental Sciences held its first international scientific conference on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in the Grand University Theater Hall at the University of Mosul.

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hasoud, and the Advisor to the Governor of Nineveh, representing the Governor.

The conference aims to:

1. Reflect the environmental and technical reality in relevant disciplines through the research presented.

2. Update and develop the environmental system and biotechnology within the visions of the specialists and researchers participating in the conference and their diverse scientific proposals.

3. Activate the role of knowledge in environmental management and biotechnology through modern ideas and explaining ways to advance them.

4. Explain the limits of benefiting from environmental developments and biotechnology and the possibility of applying them now and in the future.
