Vision

The Environmental Health Department is looking forward to prepare qualified graduates to transfer experience to governmental institutions and departments related to human health and the environment and to make a positive impact on the level of public health in society in order to serve the requirements of the labor market to achieve the vision of the Environmental Health Department to keep pace with the challenges of the times and serve the goals of sustainable development to be consistent with the vision of the college and university.

 

Mission

The Environmental Health Department contributes to scientific and practical knowledge in both the health and environmental sectors, and the interconnection between them. Also, the practical application is necessary to keep pace with the accelerating challenges in Iraqi environmental health by preparing specialized cadres in the field of environmental health technologies.

 

Objectives

  1. Providing multidisciplinary programs and curricula for the purpose of preparing students and researchers to lead sustainable work in the country and seek jobs in the field of health and environment.
  2. Conduct academic and applied research that contributes to achieving governmental policies and developing solutions to existing challenges in society to reach a sustainable healthy environment.
  3. Establishing cultural and academic relations with corresponding organizations, centers and environmental health departments locally and globally.
  4. Providing a set of knowledge and skills that contribute to the development of occupational safety in public directorates in general.
