In the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mounir Salem Taha, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, academic, artistic, cultural and media elites, and the college students, the activities of the 15th Annual Student Festival of the Department of Art Education began today, Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
The festival began with the opening of an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, handicrafts and drawing in the gallery hall, and then the honorable attendees headed to the experimental theater hall to watch the first performances of the festival for children’s theater and the show (The Wise and the Fisherman), written by the Iraqi writer Haitham Barada and directed by the applied student Ahmed Mumtaz Saeed. The activities of the first day of the festival ended with a presentation The second theatrical show (Eve’s Daughters), written by artist and playwright Abdullah Jadaan and directed by student Ibtisam Jassim.
The festival activities are scheduled to continue until next Thursday, January 4.
