The librarian of the College of Fine Arts participates in a scientific workshop
As part of the project to restore the Central Library of the University of Mosul, in collaboration with UNESCO, and with the support of the Deanship of the College of Fine Arts, Mr. Akram Badran Ismat, the librarian of the College of Fine Arts, participated in a scientific workshop.
The workshop, titled “Transitioning from a Library to a Knowledge and Learning Center – Vision and Goals,” was organized by the Central Library of the University of Mosul and took place from July 7-8, 2025. It was led by the UNESCO capacity-building expert and consultant, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussam Al-Zalbani.
The workshop, which included staff from the Central Library and other branch librarians, aimed to introduce academic librarians to the principles and practices of Open Science and to support and develop the skills of technical staff as a core pillar for advancing the university.
