A master’s thesis at the College of Fine Arts discussing bioculture and its manifestations in the performance of the Mosul theatrical actor.

Master’s Thesis Discussion in the College of Fine Arts/Department of Dramatic Arts

The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul recently hosted a master’s thesis discussion on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The thesis, titled “Bioculturalism and Its Manifestations in the Performance of the Mosul Theater Actor,” was presented by student Hussam Mohammed Khader.

The discussion was held in the presence of the Dean of the College and graduate students. The thesis examined examples of biocultural theatrical performances presented in the city of Mosul over three decades, with the aim of identifying the features and manifestations of bioculturalism in the performance of the Mosul theater actor.

The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Russell Kadhim Oda from the College of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad. The members of the committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadhil and Assistant Professor Dr. Aqeel Majid Hamid from the College of Fine Arts, University of Mosul. Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, President of Al-Hamdaniya University, served as both a supervisor and a committee member.
