The College of Fine Arts Contributes to the Success of the International Book Fair with an Educational Lecture
As part of the activities of the First International Book Forum and Fair at the University of Mosul (held from October 26 to November 1, 2025), the College of Fine Arts participated in the fifth-day program on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The event featured a cultural lecture titled “The Problematic Origins of Arab and Iraqi Theater: Between Ancient and Modern Sources.” The session was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadhil as the keynote speaker and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Aqeel Majid Hamed.
During the lecture, the speakers explored the most significant historical and contemporary sources documenting the early stages of theater, while addressing the various challenges and discrepancies in documentation. The session was attended by a diverse audience of academics, media professionals, and students.
