“From the Stage to Reality: Theatre of the Oppressed in Exposing Corruption”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, the Department of Art Education held a scientific workshop titled:
“From the Stage to Reality: Theatre of the Oppressed in Exposing Corruption.”
The workshop was conducted on Sunday, November 16, 2025, for third and fourth-year students. The sessions were presented by:

Objectives of the Workshop: The workshop aimed to emphasize the vital role that theatrical art plays in conveying societal messages and driving positive change. It highlighted that the theater is not merely a space for performance, but a powerful voice and an effective tool for:

Transforming the theatrical space into a platform for dialogue aimed at social change and the reconstruction of reality.
