Workshop on Combating Intellectual Extremism from a Security Perspective

The College of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Nineveh Security Directorate and the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organized a workshop entitled “Combating Intellectual Extremism from a Security Perspective” for the college’s staff and students. The event was attended by the Associate Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs.
The workshop was presented by the Director of the Extremism Division at the National Security Service and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadhil. It aimed to raise awareness and introduce the phenomenon of intellectual extremism in its political, social, intellectual, and economic forms. The workshop was further enriched by the inquiries and interventions of the attendees, achieving the 16th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 16): Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
