Master’s Thesis at the College of Fine Arts Discusses the “Cyborg” and its Performative Approach for the Postmodern Actor

A scientific committee at the College of Fine Arts, University of Mosul, convened on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Jalal Jamil Hall to discuss the Master’s thesis titled:
“The Cyborg and its Performative Approach to the Postmodern Actor”
The defense was held in the presence of the Dean of the College, along with several faculty members and postgraduate students.
Thesis Overview: The study, submitted by candidate Khaled Majeed Toubia from the Department of Theater Arts, provides an in-depth analysis of the actor’s body in its union with modern technologies. It aims to define the concept of the “Cyborg” and explore its performative applications within selected theatrical models of the postmodern era.
