College of Nursing

The Deans Committee of Nursing Colleges in Iraq held its regular meeting at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad and the head of the Deans Committee, took place on Saturday, January 27, 2023. Dr. Saad Hussein Murad, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, represented the Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Mosul, Dr. Salwa Hazem Al-Mukhtar.

During the meeting, necessary procedures and preparations for assessment exams were discussed, along with the collaboration mechanisms between government and private nursing colleges. The colleges’ readiness and preparations for the assessment exams were also addressed to ensure smooth and accurate conduct, aiming for scientific excellence in the educational journey. Additionally, a committee within the Deans Committee was formed to coordinate with the Chair of the Curriculum Development Committee regarding the enhancement and updating of nursing curricula.
