Clinical Chemistry Laboratory
Clinical Chemistry is considered a supportive subject in the first-year curriculum for nursing students, consisting of theoretical lectures and practical training in the laboratory. The college has a Clinical Chemistry Laboratory equipped with excellent specifications and all the necessary devices to perform tests on blood plasma.
Among the devices available are the centrifuge, spectrophotometer, water bath, and balance. Students are trained on these devices as well as on conducting tests related to diseases, such as blood collection and separation, and the measurement of blood glucose, cholesterol, proteins, urea, uric acid, creatinine, albumin, bilirubin, and blood enzymes.
