Critical Care Nursing
Critical Care Nursing is a specialized branch of nursing that focuses on providing intensive care for critically ill patients or those with unstable medical conditions. Critical care nurses work in a variety of specialized and complex environments, such as general intensive care units (ICUs), medical ICUs, surgical ICUs, trauma ICUs, coronary care units (CCUs), cardiac ICUs, and some central emergency trauma departments.
These specialists typically care for patients with severe health conditions that require interventions such as mechanical ventilation via endotracheal intubation or the use of vasoactive medications to stabilize blood pressure and organ function
