The Mission:

The College of Nursing seeks to prepare scientifically and professionally qualified nursing staff locally and regionally, capable of providing outstanding nursing care that meets the needs of the community and institutions at all levels of healthcare, with the aim of promoting the health of individuals and the community in line with nursing quality standards, while adhering to professional ethics, preserving the health environment, and developing sustainable infrastructure, and enhancing effective partnerships with local, regional, and global institutions.

The goals:

  1. Developing the teaching and administrative staff to enhance the academic and professional performance in all nursing specialties
  2. Developing and updating programs and curricula at the college to meet academic standards, community needs, and labor market requirements, as well as aligning them regionally and globally with similar nursing colleges
  3. Providing an academic and administrative environment that motivates education, production, and creative thinking to achieve the highest levels of quality in nursing education
  4. Training qualified nursing staff to use the latest technological techniques in the field of nursing
  5. Developing students’ abilities to adopt self-learning methods and solve or overcome problems by following scientific steps, relying on critical thinking in providing nursing care and decision-making
  6. Empowering students to understand nursing theories and principles of nursing science and apply them in providing nursing care and nursing management
  7. Developing students’ broad understanding of job descriptions, job analysis, and professional behavior rules
  8. Developing a scientific research plan that supports the educational process and enhances research capacity to promote the nursing profession for the benefit of the community, as well as encouraging a culture of global research publication in reputable journals
  9. Implementing modern and contemporary quality systems aimed at achieving academic accreditation requirements, including institutional and national and international programmatic accreditation, to enhance the college’s performance
  10. Enhancing social responsibility and community service initiatives through community participation and promoting health awareness
  11. Enhancing and opening channels of cooperation with local, regional, and international universities, educational and research centers
  12. The focus on implementing sustainable development standards and supporting energy and reducing polluting emissions to ensure the existence of a suitable healthy environment.

Strategic Objectives of the Nursing College:

  1. The first strategic objective: Qualifying the college to obtain programmatic accreditation by applying the requirements of the National Accreditation Council for Nursing Colleges.
  2. The second strategic objective: Increasing the competitive capacity of nursing college students according to local, regional, and global labor market needs.
  3. The third strategic objective: Providing a supportive educational environment for innovation and creativity.
  4. The fourth strategic objective: Developing current research outputs to align with the needs of the local community.
  5. The fifth strategic objective: Developing community service plans and programs and environmental development.
  6. The sixth strategic objective: Developing the efficiency of the academic and administrative apparatus with the aim of advancing the nursing college.
