Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit
The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit is dedicated to establishing the academic and cultural foundations that enable the University to engage with the international academic community. This is achieved by building and developing robust relationships with universities and academic and cultural institutions outside of Iraq.

The Unit strives to expand the University’s international cooperation network by forging effective partnerships with prestigious educational and research institutions. These efforts contribute to enhancing University of Mosul’s global standing, attracting distinguished students and researchers, and supporting scientific and cultural exchange programs.

Operating through its various sub-divisions, the Unit serves the University’s scientific journey and elevates its academic reputation in alignment with its long-standing mission and national role.

Head of the Unit: Dr. Hala Nafea Fathi.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Unit undertakes several core responsibilities, most notably:

Policy Communication: Issuing circulars and instructions related to the Unit’s operational scope.

Academic Leaves Management: Managing files for scholarships and study leaves both within Iraq and abroad.

Fellowship Coordination: Following up on and coordinating academic fellowships offered by international entities.

Official Delegations: Organizing and tracking official assignments and delegations for faculty members and staff.

International Training Oversight: Supervising activities, courses, and workshops held outside of Iraq.

Scientific Visits: Coordinating and arranging scientific visits between the University and global academic institutions.

International Conferences: Supporting participation in international conferences and representing the University abroad.

Partnership Documentation: Documenting and expanding cooperation with universities and institutions partnered with the University of Mosul.
