On Wednesday, 2/24/2021, a doctoral student in the Private Law Branch (Sakar Sabah Yaseen) was discussed in our college about her thesis tagged (Civil Responsibility for Private Colleges / Comparative Study) under the supervision of Dr. Akram Mahmoud Hussein

The discussion committee is chaired by Dr. AmerAshour Abdullah / College of Law and Political Science, University of Kirkuk, and the membership of Dr. Hadi Muhammad Abdullah / College of Law, Sulaymaniyah University, Dr. YusraWalid Ibrahim, Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Muhammad Abdullah and Dr. Raida Muhammad Mahmoud / Faculty of Law, University of Mosul

The researcher discussed private education, which is one of the important tributaries of the higher education system, which has witnessed a remarkable development, not only in the number of private colleges, but even in terms of students ’demand to join them.

From this standpoint, the study addressed private colleges as a legal figure recognized by the legislator in the Private Higher Education Law No. 25 of 2016

The researcher reached a number of results, in the forefront of which was that through Article 10 of the Law on Private Higher Education, we can define private colleges as those private institutions of public benefit that enjoy a moral personality and are continuously organized on the individual initiative of individuals, scientific societies or professional unions according to the law for the purpose of Providing an educational service to the community and material profit and is under the supervision and supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
