The Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a dissertation on satellite broadcasting disputes in private international law / a comparative analytical study on Thursday, June 3, 2021, attended by one of them, Assistant Professor Dr. college lecturers

The dissertation submitted by the student LoayHekmatWaheed in the private law branch dealt with the development that the world has witnessed in the technological and scientific field and the reflection of its effects on the economic and social aspects and its production of new dimensions and ranges in the field of satellite broadcasting via satellite and digital communication technology, which imposed on us a new reality that calls for the attention of countries It raises many problems and raises many questions that require a major change in most of the legal concepts that govern relations between individuals, in particular the rules that govern voluntary behavior between them

The study aims to show that the international efforts made by international organizations for broadcasting via satellite for special controls to determine the applicable law and the competent court to resolve disputes arising from satellite broadcasting because of its contradiction with the development reached by space and communications technology

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. AmmarSaadounHamed, the membership of Prof. Muhammad Jalal Hassan, the assistant professor Dr. WissamTawfiq Abdullah, the assistant professor Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Muhammad, the assistant professor Dr. MuradSaebMahmoud, and the membership and supervision of the assistant professor Dr. BadranShakib Abdul Rahman
