Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. WissamNemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul, and with the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. AjyadThamerNayef, Head of the Private Law Branch, and under the direction of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Muhammad Abdullah, and the decision of Assistant Professor Dr. AyserEssamDaoud On Monday, June 7, 2021, the above branch held, via electronic platforms, a scientific workshop entitled (The Role of the Public Prosecution in the Civil Case under the New Public Prosecution Law)

The workshop began with playing the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq, then Dr. WissamNemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, gave his speech, which welcomed at the beginning Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, the respected President of the University of Mosul, members of the University Council, honorable judges and dear guests from teachers, researchers and academics, in which he touched on the role of the Public Prosecution, which It is one of the components of the federal judiciary, which has financial and administrative independence, as it represents the community and seeks to establish justice through its role before, during and after the trial, in addition to the public prosecution enjoying an independent law whose provisions have been reorganized by Law No. 17 of 49. The role of the Public Prosecution Service has emerged through His work in civil lawsuits, family and childhood protection, state funds, and appeals in the interest of the law

The workshop witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers to a number of judges, researchers, scholars and those interested in legal affairs that touched on the role of the public prosecution in the civil lawsuit, the organizational structure of the public prosecution in Iraq, the role of the public prosecution in protecting family and childhood and its role, i.e. the public prosecution in protecting state funds, in addition to its role in the civil lawsuit To protect endowments, the workshop also dealt with appealing civil court decisions and rulings and appealing in the interest of the law

The workshop came out with a number of recommendations that were submitted to the relevant authorities, and this activity comes within the plans of our college with its deanship, council, scientific branches, people and administrative units in an effort to spread the legal culture in the community
