June 12 marks the International Day for Combating Child Labour, as the world celebrates this day, which was approved by the International Labor Organization starting in 2002, as the International Labor Organization has approved many international conventions and instruments according to which labor standards, conditions and environment were defined, in addition to the Conventions on the rights of the child that set the minimum The age of work in addition to the need to adhere to the rules of international law on the prohibition of forced labour, slavery and the recruitment of children in times of armed conflict, in addition to the issuance of many international conventions and treaties and recommendations from the United Nations and regional organizations that regulate work and its terms and conditions, which are of great importance at all levels, especially during The current year 2021, which coincides with the memory of this day, with the frightening international spread of the Corona pandemic and its effects that were reflected in the work, its conditions and standards, and from this point of view, the College of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by its Deanship and the members of the College Council and its cadres, as a scientific institution with detailed experiences in labor laws and treaties, invites all employers Work, factory owners, companies, industrial and production institutions, and everything related to it The use of employment in all its forms underlines the need to abide by its social role in protecting innocence and childhood, by fully complying with labor laws and treaties related to it, especially since the international community has witnessed many circumstances and conflicts that have forced children to leave school, learn and engage in the labor market in all its names due to the difficult living conditions that It was directly reflected on the basic social building block of society, represented by the family. According to the estimates of the International Labor Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the number of working children until the year 2020 reached about 160 million children, and this is a frightening number that obliged everyone, individuals, institutions, unions, associations, governments, countries and international organizations to take urgent steps To take care of childhood buds and builders of the future and educate them for a more beautiful tomorrow in a world brimming with love and peace
