June 2022 The scientific workshop tagged following Iraq’s accession to commercial arbitration agreements, which began with playing the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq and reading what was available from the Holy Qur’an. And the knowledge and academic in the establishment of scientific activities in light of the current exceptional circumstances witnessed by the college, which is the preparation for the final exam for the students of the preliminary study, and the work related to it has become routine for our college and its affiliates due to the accumulated experience in addition to the accuracy and speed of achievement, stressing that our college is witnessing the establishment of scientific and cultural activities And academic and student frequent, including this distinguished activity, referring to contacts with official government agencies and community institutions at the Deanship of the College, expressing their interest and willingness to put the recommendations and outputs of the College’s activities into practice. and members of the The Preparatory Committee, then the workshop began with a research session chaired by Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim Ali and Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Muhammad as rapporteur, where it witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers that dealt with transparency in treaty arbitration and determining the applicable law according to the rules of the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes and the impact of Iraq’s accession to the Commercial Arbitration Agreement on The reality of foreign investments and the procedures for recognizing and rejecting foreign arbitral awards in accordance with the New York Convention of 1958 and Iraq’s position on the Convention on the Recognition and Implementation of Foreign Arbitral Awards / New York 1958 before and after accession and the role of international arbitration agreements in the implementation of foreign arbitral awards and Iraq’s position on the oxide convention. Questions and inquiries about its subject were answered in detail by those in charge of it, and the workshop came out with many recommendations that were submitted to the concerned authorities, and this workshop is part of a series of scientific, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year.
