PhD thesis in the private law branch on custom in marriage and its dissolution / a comparative study,,,

On Thursday, September 8, 2022, the Private Law Branch of the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on custom in marriage and its dissolution / a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr.

The thesis presented by the student Muhammad Khalil Abdul Karim in the private law branch dealt with the marriage contract, which is a covenant and pact between the spouses with the intention of permanence and continuity, so that each of them fuses into the self and entity of the other in a life of peace, affection and mercy, and this contract must be built on sound foundations.

The thesis aims to show that marriage because of its importance, the legislator and legislator have laid down provisions for it that are sufficient to rule issues related to marriage, which begin with the introductions to marriage such as engagement and the results and effects that may result in the case of disagreement that may lead to divorce.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Hamid Sultan Ali and the membership of Prof. Dr. Qahtan Hadi Abdullah, Prof. Sajer Nasser Hamad, Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Khair El-Din Aziz, Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Zaki Suleiman, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Muhammad.
