Education ought to prepare young learners not only for – College of law

Education ought to prepare young learners not only for work but to live together (and peacefully) with others and the planet. Echoing and building on the key messages of the Transforming Education Summit convened by the UN Secretary General in New York, Day 2 of the Education for Peace in Iraq Conferences started with a plenary discussion on concrete ways through which education can contribute to fostering a culture of peace in Iraq.To affirm the co-dependency of culture and education as enshrined in the ‘Revive the Spirit of Mosul Initiative’, the participants were taken through a tour of the local bazaar at the student center of the University of Mosul before a tour of the Community Center, the Al Nouri Complex, and other key heritage sites that UNESCO is rebuilding in the Old City of Mosul. The last day of the Conference will begin with the final plenary on the Future of Education for Peace in Iraq and conclude with a performance by the students of the fine arts at the University of Mosul! Please join us!’
