The Faculty of Law holds a scientific workshop on the role of the legal clinic in achieving the requirements of women’s empowerment
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, the College of Law at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the University Presidency, held its scientific workshop entitled “The Role of the Legal Clinic in Achieving the Requirements of Women’s Empowerment.” On Monday, January 9, 2023.
The workshop dealt with developing women’s awareness of the dangers of extremism and terrorism, the dangers of drugs and their impact on women, economic empowerment of women and its obstacles, constitutional protection for women from domestic violence, the rights of working women in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 315, crimes of domestic violence against women in the Iraqi Penal Code, family disintegration and its risks to women and women’s work in law Personal status and the role of women in the digital world.
The workshop witnessed many questions and inquiries, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it, including researchers, academics, and those interested in legal affairs.
