Within the activities of the Prophet of Mercy Festival, which was held by the Presidency of the University of Mosul in cooperation with the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the College of Law at the University of Mosul hosted on Wednesday, February 23, 2023, Professor Jassam Al-Saeedi, who gave an awareness-raising scientific lecture on national identity and its concept according to the perspective of each science from Cognitive sciences, referring to its definition according to which each people is distinguished from the other and its basic elements (religion, language, fashion, family structure, and architectural heritage), indicating the importance of national constitutions, legal legislation, the ethical system, the role of universities and educational symbols in consolidating it (national identity) and strengthening the national culture rooted throughout history, explaining The extent of the impact of societal elements and sociology standards on achieving societal stability and its impact on the behavior of the recipient, which is the basis of human development, touching on societal problems that can negatively affect adherence to national identity. The lecture witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers, academics, and scientific and administrative cadres who asked many questions. And inquiries about the topic of the lecture was only He answered it in detail. For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nimat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, expressed his deep thanks and deep pride and appreciation for the wonderful role and distinguished care of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine for the delegation of our college on his scientific trip, which witnessed a visit to a number of provinces of our dear Iraq.
